what a fucking power move

Suetonius adds that, according to some reports, he said in Greek: “Kai su, teknon” (which Shakespeare turned into the Latin “Et tu Brute?”). It literally means “You too, child,” but what Caesar may have intended by the words isn’t clear. Tempest cites “an important article” by James Russell (1980) “that has often been overlooked”. Russell points out that the words kai su often appear on curse tablets, and suggests that Caesar’s putative last words were not “the emotional parting declaration of a betrayed man to one he had treated like a son” but more along the lines of “See you in hell, punk.”

brace yourselves, I've been thinking thoughts about ep 51 and now you're gonna deal with them

(don't read this if you didn't watch it, or do it's your choice)

There was no way they could stop Ludinus besides fuckin up the key and they knew.

Maybe if Fearne had successfully freed Beau, maybe if FCG had successfully freed Caleb, maybe if Imogen had successfully "guilty-trapped" her mom, maybe if Chetney had successfully grappled Ludinus, they'd still just be diversions to stall Ludinus and Otohan while Laudna, Ashton and Ira tried to destroy the batteries. And even then, there was no guarantee Ludinus didn't have an ace stuck up his ass (like he indeed had).

Also, as much as I hoped, we have to be realistic. This battle was at least unbalanced. They're lvl 8, Ludinus is what? Over 9000? (and this raised the stakes so much, I was at the edge of my seat the whole time).

Besides, FCG and Fearne sadly didn't have a strong reason to free Beau and Caleb, their actions made sense, despite keeping the battle terribly uneven.

The "best" that could've happen in this fucked scenario, happened. None of them died or is badly wounded. They're apart but still together.

I read on twitter that this was Bells Hell's Infinity War and totally agree. ESPECIALLY after the scene which Ludinus messed with time. There's so much that can be done with that functionality alone, it gives me goosebumps.

Speaking of time travel, WHEN ARE THEY? More than a million miles apart, are they at the same time period? And when is it?

Now we have other opportunities of allies, like the Nobodies and Crown Keepers, and even battles alongside other champions.

There's no way the other gods are gonna be chill about this whole thing.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

I was reading that, based on Ludinus’s speech, maybe the Raven Queen not only knew but is an accomplice of all this.

We know she’d have no problem sacrificing her champion.

I’ve been absent from this challenge for the past I dunno, 30 days? 40? Well, anyway, it wasn’t because I didn’t want, but because I couldn’t.

I lost my grandpa to covid. This past month was a very difficult one in my life. Tbh, still is. I stopped writing completely and don’t think I’ll come back so soon.

Haven’t figured out why I’m doing this post, but I just felt that I had to, like some kind of accountability maybe.

Yet, I read every prompt and they were amazing. Haven’t had a chance to read everybody’s response but I plan to and I bet they’re also great.

Thank you to @the-wip-project for hosting ❤️
